HEALTHY COOKIE DOUGH

The title is in all caps because nothing can explain the mood i'm in for the seemingly oxymoronical phrase "healthy cookie dough". I just had the most amazing fairly healthy thing ever. Cookie dough. Yes. Cookie dough done healthy is actually possible! I made this recipewith a few friends and it made plenty for all of us and is quite filling. I think this could be a guilt free bite whenever I'm in that cookie dough mood:)

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies Remix

You've probably all heard of, seen, or tasted these delicious cookies with a kiss on top. Since I had all the ingredients, I gave it a go, and man was the dough sooooo good. Its really hard to help myself.  I topped them all off with a hershey's hug (you know, the white and brown ones?). But then I ran out after just 11 cookies were topped of my first batch :(
Then I found a bag of Rolos (those caramel chocolates) and I topped each of the second batch with that. I tried one and the Rolo just didn't suffice so I added a caramel sauce I found in the fridge and they were yum!

For extra wow, I chopped up about 20 Rolos and topped off the last batch with the crushed Rolo concoction. When I put them back in the oven for a few minutes after that, they were ooey and gooey because some of the caramel was running off the sides! These came out just right:)

So try out new ideas for your cookies and see which turns out best. Here is the original recipe!

Easy Polka Dot Manicure (perfect for fourth of july!)

The other day my aunt let me have a manicure as a gift. It was my second real manicure(remember, cheapo) so I was delightfully suprised. I asked for red nail polish with polka dots as it is my favorite print. The ladies seemed a little confused even though it was one of their sample manicures on display. I quietly observed as they did their thing, but I realized they had really cool tools to make the dots work. And of course at the end, they racked up the price and I don't think my auntie was very happy.
So after reading up on my favorite beauty blog, I realized that even without the fancy schmancy tools I could recreate the polka dot look myself.
And indeed, it was super easy actually. All you need is whatever color nail polish you desire (I used royal blue and white), a bobby pin, and a piece of paper to set some polish on(I used a gum wrapper). First, paint your nails the base color and let them dry. Then, place a few drops of the color you want the dots to be on the gum wrapper. Dip your bobby pin in paint on one of the rounded edges. Then just dot away on your nail!

See, it is possible to recreate this look for super cheap! The bobby pin does the same thing that their special rounded spotting tool did. And the gum wrapper held up the polish just fine. I definitely won't be going to that salon again:) And the blue and white worked perfectly for 4th of July with my red shorts!

Fourth of July Sale Bonanza

Girls its time to stock up! Sale time is the most common time when I score my greatest and cheapest goodies! And Fourth of July is a major holiday which means major blow out sales. I have rounded up some of my favorite stores and their sales below. The reason I found out about their sales is because I sign up for their email services. As annoying as it can get to be constantly getting emailed by Forever 21's newest stock, it is very great to find out about the sales ASAP. Also many stores, such as Urban Outfitters and H&M, give an automatic coupon if you sign up!(something around 15%). So stock up and keep updated!

ASOS sale!

I cannot begin to explain how much I love this store. Everything is so chic! Even the cheap items, which is pretty rare for any online store if I might add. Here is some of the stuff that is waaaay worth it,I might even spare a few for these things!
Another one of the cool things about ASOS is that you can select the price range for the items you want to look at. That way, you don't even see the items out of your price range. I always keep it between $5-$15 range and guess what...there are still 1977 items available in the sale section within that range:)

Madden Girl Clunky Platform Heels

Yes, I am kinda in love with this type of shoe. Clunky, platform-y heels, that just scream 70's and summer. Unfortunately, I think I have fallen for the typical shoe addiction. I used every single one of my many giftcards on shoes. Yep. This means my Kohl's, target, and Westfield Mall giftcards were used on 4 new pairs. I have a guilty feeling in the bottom of my gut for this. Even if I followed the rules by using my giftcards. I'm trying to heal my conscience by telling myself that these pairs of shoes were gifts. Yes, gifts. Give me some time :).

Forever 21 Purchases

I am so proud of myself for this one. The sunnies cost a mere $1.80 and the top was about $12. And I used a giftcard. I just love the neon pink shade and the cat-eye-esque shape. Cat eye is definetly my favorite shape because of the retro feel it adds to outfits. And anything with sunflowers/daisies on it is a must buy. Especially when it has black lace attached to it, which is my definite favorite!

So to remind you I followed my "All clothing must be under $15 [pants, tops, skirts, etc]" and "All accesories must be under $10 [earrings, sunglasses, hats]" rule:)
