As hard as it is for me to admit, I am a cheapo. Well, it wasn't that hard actually.

I decided to start a blog to share all my nuggets of wisdom that I have learned from my frugal family with the world. My friends seem to admire my knack for the cheap, and how I manage my money so very well. And yes, I do shop a lot, and I do love clothes, and I am kinda obsessed with shoes. But with the rules I have made for myself, in addition to all the inspiration I have recieved from the blogging universe, it is actually pretty easy to stay cheap and chic. In fact, I almost look at it as a sort of challenge. A feel good sort of challenge.

Admit it, when you see that you got something for mere pennies you give yourself a small smirk of satisfaction. We all have.

So on this little blog, I am going to share with you my savings tips, sale alerts,cheap chic projects, outfits and fun inspiration that doesn't have the typical fashion cost. And everything will follow my basic rules of thumb:

1. All clothing must be under $15 [pants, tops,skirts,etc]
2. All shoes/jackets must be under $30
3. All accesories must be under $10 [earrings, sunglasses, hats]

There are very limited exceptions, which mostly include if the item is a gift/bought with a gift card, or special occasions[weddings, graduations].

If you keep to these rules, you will never have the guilty feeling in the pit of your stomach after shopping. And trust me, its waay easier than it sounds. My entire closet, earring wall, and accesory pile is made up of these rules.

How did I do it? Through sales, coupons, waiting for discounts, thrift stores, DIY and more. All of this is what I will share with you guys!
